I cooked the lamb and then took a nap for an hour. Kids were a pain in the ass to get down but they finally slept and woke up before us. They were in fact the ones who got me up. Then it was back to cooking....pork roast, garlic potatoes, mashed potatoes, gravy and lasagne. Then cleaned the house and when my mum got home. We went to my granny’s.
Usual fun with the family. Lots of eating and drinking. Tit-bits all over the place, granny cooked lots, and alcohol everywhere!! Fun fun fun!
Kids had a grand time playing with their cousins.
Finally it’s midnight and we wished one another and the kids were most excited as they finally get to open their presents. They got quite a good haul.
Everyone was feeling sorry for Logan and his eczema. But it’s quite irritating as they think we as parents are not trying everything we possibly can for him.
Oh well....such is life....have to learn to block shit like that out.
We finally left and went home at about 1.30am. But that wasn’t the end of the night for Ed and I. Got home and the kids washed up and brushed their teeth and laid out the cookies and milk for Santa on the table. Then we had to force them to bed and then I realized I had forgotten to buy candy for the kids’ stockings so Ed had to walk back out to CHEERS to buy some. Thank god for CHEERS which was open 24-hours.
Double checked to make sure the kids were really in bed then Ed had to eat the cookies and drink the milk. Filled their stockings and pulled out all the presents we have been hiding in the store room and placed them under the tree!
Finally...2.30am and it’s time for bed.
