If you
asked me to get an air fryer about a year ago, I would be skeptical. I always
thought since you would cook something without oil, it would not taste good and
all you could do with an air fryer was to cook certain kinds of foods only.
Little
did I realize, you could create great dishes with an air fryer and not only is
it healthy and quick, it also tastes damn good!
I’ve had
my air fryer for about 2 months now and I have made some yummy and healthy
dishes in it. I didn’t think I could also make snacks and desserts with the air
fryer, too! And so I tried making peanut butter cookies in it.
Since my
family have all been tested positive for Covid (except my daughter and I), I decided
to try it and since it came out better than I expected it to, it was a nice
treat for the family.
Nevertheless,
I would like to share with you how I made these yummy peanut butter cookies in
my air fryer.
What you
need:
I
doubled this recipe and got about 16 cookies.
What you
do:
- In a bowl, beat the butter, peanut butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the milk and vanilla to the wet mixture and beat until well combined.
- Add the flour, baking soda and salt to the wet mixture and mix until well combined.
- Place parchment paper in the air fryer basket.
- Form dough into balls (1 tbsp of dough each) and place on the parchment paper in the air fryer, leaving space in between each for spreading.
- Using a fork, press a crisscross pattern into each ball of dough.
- Air fry at 325F (160C) for 5 - 6 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before eating. They will firm up as they cool.
